Members of Chinese Media Will Discover Turkey With Yunus Emre Institute

The Yunus Emre Institute will host a group of renowned social media figures and journalists in Turkey between 26 June-3 July 2018 within the framework of its “Be Our Guest” project launched as part of its cultural diplomacy.

The Institute introduced a project two years ago whereby it hosts in Turkey representatives of various Chinese sectors ranging from media to business world, culture-art to civil society who enjoy extensive public access. This time, the most famous social media figures and owners of social media companies from China  will be hosted.       

Chinese journalist Lu Fei, who was hosted by the Yunus Emre Institute under the project “Be Our Guest”, will visit Turkey again with a group of people thanks to the Turkish hospitality and the positive impressions he had about Turkey’s fascinating atmosphere. The delegation will be divided into two groups composed of 12 + 12 people and will visit Istanbul, Cappadocia, Izmir and Fethiye, the places where Chinese tourists show special interest. This visit is expect to contribute to Turkish-Chinese relations.       

The project “Be our Guest” has become more important as the year 2018 has been declared Turkish Tourism Year in China. Therefore, social media postings by the media members who will be hosted in Turkey under the said project are expected to contribute to the promotion of Turkey and increase in the number of Chinese tourists visiting Turkey. Such visits are also expected to contribute, besides Turkish culture and art,  to the strengthening of technology, communications and media cooperation between the Republic of Turkey and the People’s Republic of China.
