Russia and Turkey meet at the Paintings of Aivazovsky
“Aivazovsky’s Istanbul”
In the memory of Aivazovsky’s 200th birth year anniversary world’s art environments colorfully celebrated last year and within the frame of 120th anniversary of St. Petersburg’s State Russian Museum, “Aivazovsky’s Istanbul” meets with the audience at State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg.
Program prepared under Cover of Presidency of Republic of Turkey with the support of Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yunus Emre Institute, "Lichnost Peterburga"/ History and Culture Foundation (St. Petersburg), Turkish Airlines and Turk Telekom will take place in St. Michael Castle (Mihaylovskiy Zamok) Hall of the museum.
While world famous artist of Russian painting Aivazovsky’s paintings that reflects the people and landscapes of the period display history of Istanbul under the artistic director of Murat Öneş in cooperation with Boyut/One’s Media, “Aivazovsky Rhapsody” composed by composer and pianist Anjelika Akbar will translate the painting into language of music.
Project, in which music, visual arts, technology, history and environment voices meet, will make audiences to go on a world trip with Aivazovsky.
Event will take place on 12th April 2018 in Mihayvlov Zamok Hall of State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg at 18:30.
