Doctoral Theses Can Now Be Written in Turkish in Warsaw
Yunus Emre Enstitüsü launches a new operation for Turkish to become a preferred language across the world.
By initiative and support of Warsaw Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, doctoral theses in Warsaw University Oriental University Department of Turcology and Central Asian Peoples can now be written in Turkish.
In this context, PhD students will exclusively take methodology and research courses in English, and the rest of the courses in Turkish. Doctoral Entry and graduation exams for Polish and other foreign doctoral candidates will be held in English. Doctoral dissertations will entirely be written in Turkish. When the thesis process is in way, the Oriental Faculty Administrative Board is required to make a decision for the title of thesis and for thesis supervisor regarding writing the thesis in Turkish.
Since 2006, master's degree courses have been held in Turkish in Department of Turcology at the same university.
