“Peace Convoy” visits Istanbul's Holy Places!
As part of History On-site project by Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, “Istanbul's Holy Places” program took start today.
To last until 5 March Saturday, program was attended by 125 graduate and doctoral students from 20 countries, elected together with Innsbruck University and Hacettepe University Peace Studies Department.
Students to visit places as Hagia Sophia, Hagia Irene Church, Topkapı Palace, Galata Mevlevi Lodge, Neve Shalom Synagogue, Süleymaniye Mosque, Armenian Patriarchate, Eyüp Sultan Mosque, Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, and Grand Bazaar accompanied by expert guides, will get the chance to travel to the depths of time in the historical peninsula.
Youth from different cultures will personally witness the tolerance in Anatolia towards various religious beliefs throughout the centuries and the civilization built in this atmosphere of peace that arose from the tolerance, in History On Site Project.
