The winners of the“Culture and Arts Awards 2014” has been given

The winners of the Culture and Arts Awards 2014 have been announced. The Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu and the Minister of Culture and Tourism Yalçın Topçu attended the award ceremony. The awards have been granted to Gönül Ülkü Özcan, Celal Yılmaz, Beşir Ayvazoğlu and The Academy of Kubbealtı Culture and Arts Foundation. Gönül Ülkü Özcan could not attend the ceremony due to health problems.

The awards have been granted to Turkish people, communities and institutions running projects on Turkish history, literature, language, plastic, phonetics and histrionics. The award ceremony was held in Topkapı Palace.

With the presidency of former Minister of Culture and Tourism Ömer Çelik, the Assessing Authority of Culture and Arts Awards including the Undersecretary of Ministry of Culture and Arts and Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Chairman of the Board Prof. Haluk Dursun, Prof. Sefer Yılmaz, the General Manager of Fine Arts Prof. Tansel Türkdoğan, Director of Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Prof. Hayati Develi and Assoc. Prof Mehmet Kapaklı granted the awards to the winners.

The awards of last year were granted to Müzeyyen Senar, Ahmet Yakupoğlu, Nuri Pakdil and Cüneyt Arkın.
